Chubby Star Wars Matryoshka

Japanese manufacturer Hot Toys releases six sets of Star Wars Matryoshka figures or nesting dolls which feature recognizable characters from the popular Star Wars movies. Hailing from Mother Russia, nesting dolls consist of a large figurine which cracks open to contain a smaller doll which in turn cracks open to container an even smaller doll. The Star Wars matryoshki keeps the diminishing scale simple at three dolls. Six styles are on offer as follows: Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Sith, C-3PO, General Grievous, and Wookiees. The largest doll in each set measures approximately 3" tall with each smaller doll being progressively smaller. Pricing is set at JPY1200 per set or US$12.50 from NCS. «more»

Fewture EX Gokin Tachikoma

A few months ago, Fewture graciously updated their preorder information for the long awaited EX Chogokin Tachikoma diecast and NCS opened up preorders. Trading was brisk and after months of anticipation, the toy is finally in stock. The EX Gokin Tachikoma measures 15.50cm or roughly 6.00" in length and it's a beauty.
We've been amassing a collection of Tachikoma toys in the past couple of years and today's Fewture production is possibly the prettiest one yet. We placed it under our studio lights this morning and the blue-tinged bling was blinding. Maybe the right word is sparkling but it was brilliant in any case.
The Fewture Tachikoma features mechanical feet instead of wheels and the Gatling gun in front may be swapped out with a grenade launcher. All preorders will ship today and new orders are welcome. «more»

AquaRain

Taking a bath generally involves bubbles, a scrubber of some sort, and thou. However, if you want to spice things up, throw an Aqua Rain into the mix and introduce a geyser of LED-lit water into your bathing ritual.
Shaped like a smoke detector but buoyant, the Aqua Rain product floats on the surface of your bathtub and shoots out beams of colored light for the first visual effect. A powerhead on the bottom of the device sucks water in and blows it out the top in streams of liquid for the second effect. Now, with the water flowing and the lights blazing, the effect is rather hypnotic and perhaps even magical as the water scatters upwards and cascades down as the LEDs light up the droplets.

Asuka Langley School Uniform Ver.

When Asuka prepares for school, she dresses up in a crisp and prim outfit that includes a blue dress, knee-high stockings, and a pair of tasteful black shoes. Asuka's hair is neat and held together with red braids. To complete the ensemble, a red bow on her collar provides a pretty centerpiece as well as a bit of contrast against her blue outfit.
Kotobukiya's Asuka Langley Soryu 1/8 scale (6.29") figure sits atop a stone slab of some sort and knocks her knees together. Asuka clasps both hands near her chin and smiles at something in the distance. Maybe Shinji's approaching with a picnic basket brimming with goodies...

Rei Ayanami Party Dress Ver.

The original run of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series concluded over a decade ago. Since the end of Evangelion, movies, manga, video games, and countless merchandising opportunities have been released to keep the franchise alive and kicking. This summer, a four-part Evangelion movie series kicks off which is a retelling of the Evangelion story. Once those movies reach market, you can be sure that the Evangelion brand will sail into the next decade with mounds of merchandise.
We never figured Rei to be a party girl but there she is - all decked out in a purple dress that clings to her like plastic wrap. Rei also wears a pair of violet hosiery and a pastel blue blouse that matches her pastel blue locks. Rei's crimson-colored eyes stare off into the distance, seemingly searching for something. The Rei Ayanami Part Dress Ver. figure is set at 1/8 scale (15cm in length) and preorders will ship today.

Beat Angel Escalayer Figure

In the Beat Angel Escalayer animation series, Sayuka Kouenji is a mighty redheaded android who defends the planet from invaders known as the Dielast. To obtain her power, Sayuka engages in intimate liaisons with her female android companion Madoka...

Alter's Beat Angel Escalayer 1/8 scale figure measures 20cm tall and features a playful Sayuka who rests her left hand on her hip while her right hand points backwards. Her abdomen is pushed forward a bit in defiance. Or maybe it's just the beginning of the Lambada. Artist Ikuma Kuramoto sculpted the figure which is fully assembled and pre-painted so it can be displayed once delivered. Preorders will ship today and new orders are welcome to also ship this afternoon.

Jingai Makyo Kazeko Figure

The blue-tressed Kaze no Ushiro wo Ayumumono aka Kazeko does a high step in a pair of barely there briefs. Kazeko hails from the "Jingai Makyo: Chaos Gate" eroge game and since Alter has already sculpted Ignis from that game, it's only fitting that Kazeko represent as well.

Takeuchi Gotaro's 1/8 scale sculpt of Kaze measures 15cm or 5.90" tall. The heroine wears an orange shirt and black short shorts. They're really skimpy and she could have just worn a thong for the hell of it. Kazeko wears black boots on her feet while a shabby black cap keeps her hair in place. Preorders will ship today and new orders are welcome to ship this afternoon.
