Gakken Mu Henshuubu Kanshuu - Import Preorder

A few years ago, a visitor brought a book into our offices titled, "Alien Agenda" by Jim Marrs. Although books are so passé nowadays, a few of us nevertheless read the chapter on Remote Viewing. It was interesting to say the least and gave us an inkling about the vastness of the universe and the infinite capabilities of the human mind.

Japanese publisher Global A may have also read Marrs' book and got inspired to delve into the supernatural, the paranormal, and the plain weird with their Gakken Mu Henshuubu Kanshuu: Choujou Genshou Research File. The software contains roughly 2000 questions that deal with Atlantis, UFOs, aliens (and their agendas), monsters, and all manner of Fortean lore. Preorders are welcome to ship on September 11, 2008.

Koihime Musou - Import Preorder

Originally released for the Japanese PC in January 2007, Koihime Musou is a re-interpretation of the Sangokushi (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) Warring States period in Japanese history. Instead of male generals waging war against each other, over 30 attractive maidens provide all of the conflict, arms, and even love. Koihime Musou is a tactical strategy game which features interactive sequences so the bonds between the player and the maidens grows ever stronger. Preorders are welcome to ship on September 25, 2008.

Capcom Fighting Game Twofers - Import Preorder

Capcom built an empire on 2D fighting games and the company pays tribute to some of their most popular franchises this September. The games are not just being re-released singly however. Been there, done that. To mix it up a bit, Capcom packs two games onto a single DVD:

1) Hyper Street Fighter II + Vampire Dark Stalkers (Value Pack)
2) Capcom vs SNK 2 + Street fighter III 3rd Strike (Value Pack)

The games will be selectable from a title menu with respective splash screens. Preorders are welcome to ship on September 18, 2008 at JPY2990 or US$28.90 each from NCS.

Haruhi Suzumiya 1/7 Scale Beach Figure - Import Preorder

When NCS first met Haruhi Suzumiya about 4 years ago, we assumed she was too scrawny to fill out a bikini. She was also too chicken-legged-like but that's another story for another day. In Kotobukiya's upcoming Beach Side Figure, Haruhi stuns us because she not only fills out a bikini adequately but her chicken legs aren't so chicken-like anymore. Masterful PVC sculpting tends to bring about miracles.

Haruhi's default costume is a yellow top which matches the golden ribbon on her head. She also wears a black bikini bottom but the yellow top may be doffed to reveal a black bikini underneath. Her pose is more Race Queen than Queen of the Paranormal but like we said, masterful PVC sculpting brings about miracles. Haruhi is set at 1/7 scale and measures 15cm or 5.90" tall. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late November 2008 at JPY5800 or US$62.90 from NCS.

Policenauts for PS1 - Clearance

If goaded into describing Policenauts in 10 words or less, we might be tempted to call it "Futuristic Lethal Weapon, Hideo Kojima style." The protagonist Jonathan Ingram is the video game version of Mel Gibson's Martin Riggs and Ed Brown is the spitting image of Roger "I'm too old for this $#!^" Murtaugh. Character similarities aside, Policenauts follows the story of Jonathan after he returns from cryogenic sleep in outer space and works to uncover a growing mystery after witnessing the murder of his ex-wife who came to him for help in locating her missing husband.

Sale Offer: NCS' remaining inventory of Policenauts is new, factory sealed, and in mint condition. Price: US$25.90 per copy which includes "free shipping" within the United States by USPS Media Mail Service.
