Dissidia: Final Fantasy Trading Arts Vol.1 - New, In Stock

«©NCSX» Square Enix has set their sights on a bit of merchandising to dovetail with the upcoming release of Dissidia: Final Fantasy. We decided against stocking the Dissidia potions this time around due to the lofty transportation costs incurred when importing what's essentially gallons of sugared water. NCS will however import the Dissidia Trading Arts figures which feature five characters from Final Fantasy I, VII, VIII, IX, and X as follows:

| Warrior of Light | Cloud Strife | Squall Leonhart | Zidane | Tidus |

The figures measure between 9.8 to 15.5 cm (3.85 to 6.10") in height and are carved from blocks of PVC. The detailing for each figure appears quite good based on Square's photos. Preorders are welcome to ship in February 2009 at JPY5280 or US$65.90 per factory box of six figures. Each factory box contains all five figures and 1 duplicate. «Photo Gallery»

Xenosaga III KOS-MOS Swimsuit Version - New, In Stock

«©NCSX» In Namco's Xenosaga III game, KOS-MOS is a powerful android who can manifest high energy weapons by using futuristic nanotechnology. She's special that way. In addition to being a versatile warrior, KOS-MOS is gifted with a body that appears womanly even though she's really just a machine.

Toy sculptors have created numerous versions of KOS-MOS through the years but most of them have featured "her" in regulation-issue battle armor. Japanese manufacturer Alter has crafted two previous versions of KOS-MOS and the company gets back into the game with a third iteration of KOS that's scheduled to ship in January 2009. The new figure loses the battle armor and is adorned with frilly blue coverings that apparently comprise a swimsuit of the future. We found it amusing the KOS-MOS also wears matching high-heel pumps. Preorders, new orders ship today.

Another Code: R Kioku no Tobira - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» Two years after Ashley Mizuka Robbins settled her business on Blood Edward Island in the first Another Code game, she's back in another adventure that takes her to the serene surroundings of Lake Juliet. At the outset, Ashley receives an invitation from her father Richard Robbins to visit him at the lake and she catches a bus to get there. Ashley's also been having vivid memory flashes of her mother Sayoko Robbins including one which indicates that foul play may have been involved in her death.

Shortly after arriving at Lake Juliet, Ashley runs into a park ranger named Dan Maxwell who looks like the archetypal broad-shouldered, square jawed, crisp uniformed protector of woodland animals and forest flora. During their conversation, players get to make a few decisions which demonstrate the animated choice-system used in the game. The Dual Another System (DAS) gadget returns but it's now modeled after the Nintendo DSi. How do we know it's a DSi? Because we can see two cameras on the device. The game play uses a combination of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk but Ashley is never controlled directly - arrows on the screen, a magnifying glass, and other icons are clicked to make her move and handle her business throughout the environs of Lake Juliet. «Notes»

Final Fantasy CC: Echoes of Time DSi Bundle - New Import

«©NCSX» Due to a split shipment from our Japanese distributor, please note that the Echoes of Time bundle arrived today and preorders are shipping. New orders are also welcome to ship today. NCS should have stock available for a while since we have surplus inventory.

The limited edition version of FFCC Echoes of Time includes a white Nintendo DSi handheld that is decorated with the crystal/cat game logo on the left side of the top shell.

The latest Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles game is a cross-platform title which is equally the same on the Nintendo DS and the Wii. Square accomplishes the handheld-to-console parity with the Pollux Engine which makes it easy to release the same game simultaneously on two platforms. That means the underlying code, the graphics, the music, and the gameplay are identical. By using the Wi-Fi communications mode, NDS players can adventure together with Wii players like one big happy family.

At the outset of the game, players choose a character class from four races - Clavats, Yukes, Lilties, and Selkies - and the sex of the protagonist. The adventure starts in a quaint little town filled with folksy citizens but soon expands into the dangerous environs of the world outside.
