«©NCSX» The latest game from Level 5 isn't another Professor Layton episode but a spectacle called Ninokuni which fits into the adventure genre. In the game, players take control of a lad named Oliver whose loving mother has passed away. Oliver is stricken with grief but salvation lies in a strange toy that was given to him by his mother when he was a little boy. One day, whilst Olivier is crying and his tears are raining down on the toy, it comes to life and introduces himself as "Shizuku," a fairy from another land. Equipped with a special book of magic which contains sigils and youthful energy, the two travel to another world called Ninokuni where Oliver might find a way to bring his mother back to life.

   Ninokuni Shikkoku no Madoushi is an action-adventure game that takes place on the sumptuous world of Ninokuni. Oliver and Shizuku traipse through the wilderness, cross chasms, battle monsters, and explore quaint towns. When traveling, Olivier leads while Shizuku dutifully follows like a puppy. Shizuku is a highly animated companion who provides guidance as well as illumination thanks to the lamp that's tethered to its nostrils. Every copy of the game includes a 352-page book that's required to play the game due to the sigils and symbols found within which are used in the adventure.

The next hardware rehash is a new version of the Neo Geo Pad which was originally packaged with the Neo Geo CD console with a clicky directional pad and soft-touch buttons. The upcoming Neo Geo Pad is a digital controller which is compatible with the Playstation 3 as well as Windows PCs. A "PS" button is located between the SELECT and START buttons in the center of the pad.
